TIME IS RUNNING OUT!
The Little Egg Harbor MUA has been inspecting and replacing meters and remote reading units affected by the tidal salt waters as the result of Super Storm Sandy. Almost all needing replacement have been done at no cost to our customers, through a program with FEMA. Eventually this money will no longer be available to the Authority. Once this occurs, it will be the responsibility of the customer to pay for a new meter or MTU. Furthermore, customers who fail to respond to Authority requests to perform an inspection may be subjected to a mandatory installation of a meter and pit at the curb line. The current costs are approximately $2800 and would be the responsibility of the customer. This can be avoided simply by contacting the office immediately if you receive a letter. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. As always, the LEHMUA has been here to service our customers since 1972. We promise to do everything possible to assist you in any way that we can.
LEHMUA NOW HAS AN AUTOMATED PHONE SYSTEM!
Please be advised that the Authority now has an automated phone calling system to notify you of important details concerning storms, emergencies, water shutoffs, billing reminders, etc. Thank you for providing excellent contact numbers and e-mail addresses for Authority use. We do not provide this information to anyone and we respect and maintain your privacy. When you see our number 609-296-1168 on your cell phone, answering machine, caller ID or e-mail address please do not hang-up. TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN TO THE RECORDED MESSAGE. It is only for your benefit. Most of the time the phone call is made after normal business hours-4:30 PM. No one is at the office to reply. If the call is made after we are closed, please save your valuable time and effort by attempting to make a return phone call to our office. Again,
TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN TO THE RECORDED MESSAGE.
YOU WILL BE GLAD THAT YOU DID!
