Notice to Residents: Meter Reading Unit Upgrades

The Little Egg Harbor Municipal Utilities Authority is currently in the process of replacing over 7,500 Meter Reading Units throughout our service area.

While the current units are functioning correctly and providing accurate readings, their internal batteries are reaching the end of their anticipated service life. We are proactively replacing these units now to ensure continued reliability and billing accuracy for all residents.

What to Expect:

  • Authority Personnel: You may see uniformed Authority employees working in your neighborhood. All staff will carry official identification.
  • Property Access: Workers may be seen in your yard, near your home, or between residences to access the units.
  • No Home Entry: There is generally no need for an employee to enter your home for this project.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we perform these necessary infrastructure updates. If you have any questions, please contact the Authority office at                        609-296-1168.
